Nordic Walking

This form of sport originating in Scandinavia is good for your heart and circulation system, besides subjecting your joints to a minimum of stress.

In contrast to normal walking or jogging, Nordic Walking not only activates your leg muscles. Almost all of the muscles in the upper body are likewise given a good work-out – especially the muscles of the arms, shoulders, chest, and back.

Nordic Walking is not only fun – After 25 minutes, your body begins producing endorphins which will raise your mode. Indeed, it is one of the healthiest forms of sport you can find.

For whom is this form of sport suitable?

It is suitable for beginners, pleasure-strollers, persons undergoing physical rehabilitation, and hikers. You can practice this sport at the pace you prefer – either slow, or fast. It's the ideal form of exercise, and here are the ideal

Nordic Walking Classes for Beginners and Advanced Walkers with Our Trained Instructors

Deutschnofen / Nova Ponente: Every Friday, from 9:30 a.m. till 11:30 a.m. Meeting place: Deutschnofen / Nova Ponente Tourism Office.

Registration by 5:00 p.m. of the previous day at the Tourism Office. We will provide the walking poles. Participation is free of charge.

 

 

Epircher Laner
From the upper parking lot in Obereggen, turn right in the direction of the Hotel Zirm and continue on the forest road to the Epircher Laner Alm. Take the magnificent roundtrip route beneath the awe-inspiring Latemar until your return to your starting-point.

Bewaller Roundtrip Route
From the upper parking lot in Obereggen, take the forest "staircase" to the Bewallerhof (beautiful view of the meadows and fields). Continue on the Tembl Trail through the Karer / Carezza Woods (known for the wood from which violins are made) until you come to the Karer Lake / Lago di Carezza. Return on the same route.

St. Anna Roundtrip Tour
From the parking lot in the village center of Eggen/Ega, go past the Gasserhof in the direction of the Kobhof. When you reach the Kobn Chapel, return to the village center.

Grotthof
This roundtrip tour is somewhat more arduous, but offers some excellent look-out points along the way. From the parking lot in the village center of Eggen/Ega, go past the Gasserhof in the direction of the Kobhof. Take the roundtrip forest trail until you come to the Grotthof and then return to the village center.

Wölfl Roundtrip Route:
This tour through the heavily forested uplands offers a lot of different scenery. Starting from the Café Bar Luisa, take the road and go past the sports center. Continue to the Unterkaplun Hof and on the forest trail to the Wölflhof (it is possible to make a side-trip to the Wölflhof). But before we reach the Wölfhof, we take the left turn and proceed uphill (steep) in the direction of the Gattererhof (you’ll be afforded a splendid view of the lowlands, the Salurn/Salorno Gap, and the Brenta Mountains). Continue on the gravel path and asphalt trail until you come to the village center of Deutschnofen / Nova Ponente and to your starting-point.

Panorama Roundtrip Tour:
This is a somewhat longer but easy roundtrip tour offering lots of impressive scenery along the way.From the Café Bar Luisa, walk along the road in the direction of Bozen/Bolzano. You’ll pass by the Pfösl Chapel to the left. Take the first trail to the right uphill to the Hotel Pfösl. Take the forest trail behind the hotel until you come to the Moserhöfen. Cross the main street and proceed on the asphalt path, passing the Kotz, Titsch, Bayerl, and Weissbamer farmsteads, until you come to the "Schlernblick House" (with fantastic outlook-points with views of the Rose Garden, the Latemar, the Weisshorn / Corno Bianco, the Schwarzhorn / Corno Nero, and Zanggen / Pala di Santa) and back to your starting-point.

Village Roundtrip Tour
This is an easy roundtrip tour through impressive scenery and with magnificent views of the Dolomites. From the Café Bar Luisa, proceed along the road in the direction of Unterkaplun Hof. When you come to the Hingerle Hof, to the right, you’ll have a marvelous panoramic view of the Schlern/Sciliar region. There, turn to the left and continue over gravel paths and asphalt until you come to the Bühlerhof. There, you’ll have a panoramic view of the Rose Garden, the Latemar, and the Weisshorn / Corno Bianco. Continue on to the village center and back to your starting-point.

Bayerlsäge Roundtrip Tour
This is a long (one-day) roundtrip tour featuring breathtaking vistas. The perfect daytrip! From the Café Bar Luisa, proceed along the road in the direction of Bozen/Bolzano. Go uphill to the Hotel Pfösl and continue on to the Moserhöfen. Take the field trail to the Eggelhof, the Ganischgerhof, the Bayerlsäge, the Hotel Schwarzenbach, and to Rauth/Novale. Return from Rauth/Novale on the same route until you come to the Hotel Schwarzenbach and the Ganischgerhof. On the forest trail to the right, continue until you reach the Stallerhof (horseback riding stables), Titsch, Bayerl, Weissbamer, the "Schlernblick House" (with fantastic outlook-points with views of the Rose Garden, the Latemar, the Weisshorn / Corno Bianco, the Schwarzhorn / Corno Nero, and Zanggen / Pala di Santa) and back to your starting-point.

To the Leger of Petersberg / Monte S. Pietro
Starting from the Hotel Peter, proceed along the road until you reach the Weber Inn. Continue via the hiking trail to the Sanctuary of Maria Weissenstein/Pietralba. The forest trail to the Leger Alm in Petersberg / Monte S. Pietro is an easy tour. Return to your starting-point on the same route.

Golf Course Roundtrip Tour:
From the Hotel Peter, turn right in the direction of Oberrain. From there, continue on the road until you come to the Häusler. There, take a right turn and continue via the forest trail until you come to the golf course. Cross the main street, and continue via the forest trail until you reach the Hillebrand, Renner, and Locher farmsteads and return to your starting-point.
