Our sunny high-altitude plateau is the ideal place for outings with children. Numerous paths and trails are suitable for baby buggies / perambulators.
The Children's Hour: During the months of July and August, there's a "Children's Hour" held every Monday from 5:00 p.m. till 6:00 p.m. at the Pastoral Residence in Deutschnofen / Nova Ponente. Admission is FREE OF CHARGE. Children's Playgrounds: In the center of the village and at the sports grounds, there are children's playgrounds, a bowling alley, and a miniature golf course. Alpine Coaster Summer Toboggan Course: Once you've arrived at the Gardoné Hut, it's easy to reach the toboggan course. It's fun for the whole family. For more info, call phone: +39/0462/502929. Swimming Pools: There are outdoor swimming pools in Welschnofen / Nova Levante and in Steinegg/Collepietra. Bathing Lakes: Lake Kalterer / Lago Caldero, the Montiggler Lakes. Libraries: There are libraries in Deutschnofen / Nova Ponente, Eggen, and Petersberg / Monte S. Pietro with reading corners and play areas for children. Geoparc Bletterbach in Aldein/Aldino: There's a children's activity hour every Saturday at 3:00 p.m. For more info, call phone: +39/0471/412961. The Laurinio Card for Kids: For our youngest guests, there's the Laurinio Newspaper, the children's hiking trails, helpful hints for holidaying, recommended sightseeing trips, and a lot of fun, games, riddles, and pictures to color. The Laurinio Card is available in the Tourism Association or at your hotel, and is an excellent vacation guide for families with children!
Recommended Routes for Pleasant Family Hikes
To the Petersberger Leger Alm (Alpine Meadow). Total walking time: 1 hour. Degree of difficulty: easy – suitable for baby buggies. Starting at the Maria Weißenstein Place of Pilgrimage – South Tyrol's most famous religious shrine – you can leave your car at the parking lot. From there, take Trail No. 2 and stroll to the Petersberger Leger Alm. That should take about one hour. The managers of the refreshment stop also operate a petting zoo as well as a big field where the kids can run and jump and have fun.

Deutschnofen / Nova Ponente
A big children's playground, with lots of fun games and equipment, incluiding a miniature golf course, a soccer field, etc. at the Deutschnofen / Nova Ponente Sports Center.
In the center of the village, in the Schloss Thurn Street, there is a smaller playground right in the middle of a small wooden area.
Obereggen
The "Platzl" Bar at the valley station of the Obereggen-Oberholz Panorama Chair Lift (1,550 – 2,150 meters above sea-level) has a new children's playground!
Feel like a refreshment? Then this is the place for you! The "Platzl" Bar at the valley station in Obereggen offers a wide variety of refreshing drinks, little snacks, and a selection of delicious ice cream desserts.
The attached children's playground features a bouncing castle, a ping-pong table, swing set, merry-go-round, and monkey bars. Your children will love it! While the adults enjoy a refreshment, the kids can have fun. Of course, use of the playground is free of charge.
