Obereggen, South Tyrol

Obereggen is a young Alpine village with a splendid location at the foot of the Latemar. Due to its stunning natural beauty, it has been classified by UNESCO as a World Heritage site.

Over the past three decades, its location at 1,550 meters above sea-level, the friendly, inviting natural landscape consisting of meadows, spruce and larch forests, and its magnificent panoramic view of the Latemar, Zanggen, the White Horn and Black Horn all contributed to this neighborhood of the district of Eggen developing into a renowned tourist vacation area.

There are three adventure hikes and two Nordic Walking days organized by the Tourist Association every week. The extensive and convenient bus system enables hikers to reach the various different starting points for innumerable wonderful hikes. And biking enthusiasts can participate in a variety of guided tours for different skill levels.

Comfortable hotels with health spas and wellness treatments as well as simple little family-run inns, bed & breakfasts, and vacation apartments are all available.
